Two Months?

Has it seriously been two months since I last posted? I have no excuses. Except maybe work, and gardening, and general laziness. But my knitting has been picking up! And so have conversations with my two favorite ladies, which are keeping me inspired. Here’s one of the recent things off my needles:

L's Scarf

I had the pleasure of working with a super awesome lady at the non-profit where I volunteer. She and I graduated college at the same time so we were (are) both embarking on this crazy, slightly-more-grown-up-adult thing so it was really great working with her and getting to share our anxieties and whatnot. Although, she’s going to a super prestigious med school and I am an administrative assistant with a B.A. degree gathering dust, but I digress.

The aforementioned prestigious medical school is across the country, so a parting gift was in order. Kellen picked out this gorgeous color with her in mind, because she wears a lot of really pretty earth tones- appropriate because she is one of the most grounded, genuine people I have ever met.

pattern: Victorian Scarf by Kerin Dimeler-Laurence. Available for free from Knit Picks, rav page here.
yarn: Katia Austra, just one skein! Size 8 needles. Blocked out nice & long.

I’m definitely going to miss her! I was glad, however, that I could gift her with this! It was a fun, quick knit that really made me think of her and her super grounded, down to earth, awesome self!
